(February 9th, 2025, about 1.5 years later) I said I was going to put the link to the game and my (old, poorly made) website here after... ABOUT two months. Unfortunately, my account was terminated for posting this video. On multiple channels. And 2 years later, I put an appeal, and it got accepted straight away. HOWEVER... I can't post links. Still. D: The game kinda sucks compared to what I have been doing in all this time. I just didn't post it on Youtube. I'm experimenting with VR games and I think I have a cool idea. I have been working on it for a little bit. Obviously VR is more complicated than a PC game. And with a more complicated game, there comes more bugs. And this might lead me to scrap the game, like I did with many of my other games. Velocity is one of the games I didn't give up on, however the style of the game is so simple that I felt like it was impossible to give up on. The game was made in 2 weeks, by the way. A bit longer than the time it usually takes me to give up on a game. I was so proud that I had finally actually released a game, but the game still sucks. With my future games, unless I want it to be a cash grab, I want there to be an actual story so the game isn't just "run jump wallrun" all the time. To really feel immersed, I want to put a full body character in the game, and I found that combining the image generation of ChatGPT (telling it to create a character in a game, but in a T-Pose) and the AI model making of Meshy, I could create any character I want. However, I found that it really doesn't work well with full body VR games, and I'm probably just going to use models from Mixamo. There was one game that I was working on about 3 years ago. The inspiration of the game would seem to be clearly taken from Karlson when playing the game. I was so close to finishing it, and I was motivated to finish it too, which was unusual for me. Unfortunately, I had tried to get free software, and I got a virus, which made me reset my whole PC. Today, I had found a build of the game from July of 2023. One of the later builds, and looking at it, it was just as I had remembered. Copying a game is a lot easier than making a totally original game, I had eventually learned. If I had found this build back then, there might have even been a finished product. Unfortunately, the game sucked. When I had first started using Unity, I had a game I wanted to be called "Orb Attack". It really wasnt anything special. The only thing I had finished there was a hallway, and a glowing orb. That was it. When making this game, I had randomly thought about that orb I had made all too long ago. That was the inspiration of the end goal in each level.
